Beverly Hills Chamber and Asian Business Connection celebrated Year of the Pig, February 1st with with O'Gara Coach at 8833 West Olympic blvd in Beverly Hills.
The yearly event featured traditional Lunar New Year entertainment with a Beverly Hills touch, and the latest McLaren 570 GT on display and a special guest, designer Mr.Cabbeen, who flew-in to Los Angeles for two days.
2019 is a Year of Earth Pig, starting from Feb. 5, 2019 (Chinese New Year) and lasting to Jan. 24, 2020.
Pig is the twelfth in the 12-year cycle of Chinese zodiac signs. The Years of the Pig include 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031 and 2043.
People with Chinese zodiac Pig sign are considerate, responsible, independent and optimistic. They always show generousness and mercy to endure other people's mistakes, which help them gain harmonious interpersonal relationships.
2019 is a great year for them to make money, and a good year to invest!
McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and Chinese fashion designer and entrepreneur, Mr. Cabbeen, have combined to create McLaren 570GT that was unveiled in Beijing, last year at the Auto China 2018 show. This McLaren Sports Series model was developed by MSO to introduce distinctive Chinese classic design elements. MSO Defined Carbon Sill Covers grace the inside the cabin, with unique vivid sculptural dragons embroidered in gold on the Alcantara® Centre Front Tunnel and Rear Luggage Deck. Designed by Mr. Cabbeen to elevate the five Cabbeen Collection cars to a new level of interior luxury. The dragon motifs are an example of Chao Embroidery, which is recognised as part of China’s cultural heritage.
The embroidered dragons on each of the five cars were sewn by Kang Huifang, the Director of the Professional Embroidery Committee of China’s Arts and Crafts Institute and renowned for her work over four decades to preserve the art of Chao Embroidery.
Among bites and beverages sponsors were:Yojisan Sushi, XI’AN, Sushi House Unico, Bombay Palace, Crustacean, Shan Social House, Buzzbox, Tsingtao, Tiger, Asahara Brewery, Asombroso, Biosset Collection, Icelandic, San Antonio Winery and Soba Bar Kurokuma.
